Assistant Director, Student Engagement
Applications are being accepted for the position of assistant director, student engagement. Under the direction of the senior director of alumni engagement and annual giving and in coordination with the associate director of reunions and affinity engagement, the assistant director of student engagement leads the overall design, implementation, and operation of the student calling program in support of the College’s annual giving program. This includes hiring, training, and managing student callers during evening and weekend calling sessions. Additionally, s/he assists with the development and coordination of the engagement and philanthropic opportunities for Cornell College’s students. Excellent communication skills, including writing and presentation skills. Knowledge of database marketing. Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, etc.). Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to communicate effectively, interact professionally in a variety of situations (in person and on the telephone). Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must have valid Iowa driver's license and be insurable to drive. Two to three years in fundraising with experience in a call center environment and experience working in a college or university setting preferred.
