Job Description Summary:

The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for a Lecturer, Business Finance, beginning Fall 2014.

  • This position is a non-tenure-track, 9-month term appointment which will be responsible for teaching 4 courses per semester.

  • The successful candidate will be expected to participate in service activities such as curriculum development, student recruiting, program assessment, program development and leadership, student advisement, and committee leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in finance or a closely related field.

  • Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduate and MBA level courses in finance.

  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned doctoral degree in finance or closely related field, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution.

  • MBA and significant business experience.

  • Experience using technology in teaching, and experience teaching hybrid web or online courses.

  • Academic experience working on a campus with culturally diverse students, staff, and faculty.

Physical Demands:

Work is primarily sedentary. Sits comfortably to do the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or lifting items weighing up to 15 pounds.
