Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Systems Supervisor the incumbent is responsible for providing analytical support for the School of Medicine?s billing system software applications. As part of the IT Departments Production Unit, the incumbent is responsible for system trouble shooting and analysis dictionary maintenance, statement and claim production and reconciliation, report production and analysis, and month end activities. The incumbent is also responsible for answering the Help Desk phones, completing tickets and/or assigning Help Desk tickets to the appropriate parties.


Salary: Hourly $22.22 to 29.00

Work Schedule: 8-5, M-F

Job Essential Function 1
Percent of Time: 85%
Under the general supervision of the Systems Supervisor, the incumbent servers as the TRAC and ONTRAC administrator and is responsible for accuracy of the system data tracking billing productivity and report generation/distribution on a weekly basis. Reviews and analyzes TRAC and ONTRAC error reports weekly; performs corrective action to data when appropriate to successfully complete weekly reporting cycle. Creation and submission of MashUp tickets for TRAC and ONTRAC system related issues. Creates, distributes, analyzes and works Provider reports from GE)on a weekly basis. Continually evaluates provider edits for recommendations on potential system updates/changes. Maintains Provider dictionary in GE by working help desk tickets and ensuring appropriate provider profiles are completed. Serves as system Help Desk representative, resolve system issue tickets and /or assigns tickets to appropriate team member for completion. Performs month end close activities including but not limited to initiating and analyzing report queries to determine if additional action is need before initiating auto job processes, initiating auto jobs, running system utilities, and performing system operations. Effectively communicate the status of tasks/projects and ensure timely and quality delivery of those tasks. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with clients.

Serves as core team member on software version upgrades.  Troubleshoots system issues and analyzes potential fixes and developing innovative solutions as applicable.    Works on special projects as assigned.
3 - 5 years of relevant work experience with Bachelors of Arts/ Bachelor of Science in related field or equivalent experience
Knowledge of GE/IDX Centricity Business
Possess experience with professional fee billing in a multi-specialty environment, preferably within an academic setting.  
Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques and possess excellent analytical skill for the purpose of problem resolution.  
Proficiency in MS Office Software, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel.  
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
Must have the ability to work under general direction with self starting and independent initiatives
Must possess ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing, with a variety of audiences.
Candidate must possess working knowledge and experience with GE Centricity Business software.
Must have the ability to effectively work well with others in a team environment
Ability to effectively work through and accurately complete a multitude of time conflicting tasks and projects
Experience with TRAC On-TRAC tools highly preferred.
