Duties: The World Well Being Research Specialist position is responsible for coordinating many aspects of the World Well Being Project (WWBP) at the Penn Positive Psychology Center. The WWBP utilizes real-time Internet data-on the order of billions of data points-to create unobtrusive ways to assess well-being in large populations. This position will work under the direction of the project leaders.
* Coordinate meetings for main Penn team as well as meetings with consultants and collaborators
* Coordinate the advertising, review, and hiring of postdoctoral fellows and project staff
* Coordinate IRB protocol submissions, liaise with the Penn Office of Regulatory Affairs, and ensure compliance with Penn policies and protocols
* Assist with management of the content of the website that will communicate research results
* Coordinate the purchase of computer hardware, software, and other equipment and supplies, liaising with the Penn Information Systems & Computing group
* Coordinate the development of progress reports, manuscripts and publications
* Handle payments to vendors, consultants, research subject pay, and travel reimbursements
* Assist with research: literature reviews, data management

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 0-1 year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
At least 1 year of project management experience preferred
A background in psychology with research experience is preferred
Able to work independently with little supervision
Strong project management, writing, speaking, computer, and diplomatic skills
Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
