Posting Description: *Overall management and oversight of the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) group (currently 2 direct reports, approximately 17 people in total), ensuring that the enterprise-level production systems are implemented, monitored, and supported to ensure maximum availability and reliability within service parameters for capacity, performance, security, and business continuity. *Providing leadership in the creation and management of service level objectives for ECS, and collaborating in the creation, management, and continuous improvement of the overall UIS service delivery processes which include change management, configuration management, communication, outage notification, incident reporting, metrics, and root cause analysis. *Identifying emerging technologies and lifecycle conversion opportunities. As technology changes at a fast pace, this position is responsible for moving the technology infrastructure supporting UIS enterprise-level services and applications forward. This includes identifying new technologies, evaluating the overall opportunity for use within UIS, working with administrative business partners and campus IT partner organizations to identify and understand the advantages, impacts and risks in moving to the new technology, and ultimately moving the new technologies into a production status. *Collaborating with the Project Management Office in meeting project needs and managing shared resources across several projects. *Collaborating with other departments in UIS and the campus IT organizations on disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing. *Developing a culture that positions ECS as an integrated part of the larger IT service management function, specifically ensuring that the ECS group functions as a team itself and recognizes and enables the overall UIS service mission and strategy. *Selecting, training, mentoring, and appropriately motivating staff towards excellence as continually improving technical professionals, communicators, and collaborators. This includes both performance management and fiscal (budgetary) management of the group. Salary is competitive and commensurate with skills and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree *Five years experience at a significant level of management in information technology. *Demonstrated success in hiring, training, and leading a professional IT operations team. *Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in utilizing best practices and standard processes (such as ITIL) for managing IT operations. *Demonstrated experience and knowledge (minimum five years) in designing and supporting enterprise level technology infrastructures utilizing current technology trends (such as virtual environments) and using several IT technologies and platforms, such as database
