Business Services Program Manager
Posting Description: This position is must have strong accounting and fiscal management skills, including but not limited to grants and contracts, ICR account, gift accounts and purchasing of lab equipment and management of lab equipment contracts. Advanced Excel skills to develop user-friendly reports for faculty for monthly fiscal reviews. Analysis of financials to ensure compliance with grants and contracts and accounting processes required by the Controller's Office. Decision making skills on how to resolve financial issues that arise, related to compliance, deficits and new processes. Maintains accurate accounting of the salaries for fellows ensuring that the right accounts are used and corrections made as required. Knowledge of the HRMS and PS financial systems. Monitor cash balances and reconcile accounting transactions for Division programs and projects. Manages the gift accounts in terms of set up, closures and maintenance of accounts. Ensure accounts are linked to individual ST and review financials through CU Foundation and PS to be sure there are funds and spending is within the limits of the accounts.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in field related to business, finance or accounting. Three year's experience in accounting or financial management.

It requires independent judgment and the ability to proactively identify and address problems. The ability to work as part of a team is essential. Superior interpersonal skills and commitment to excellent customer service skills are imperative. Excellent task management skills are critical (problem-solving to get tasks finished and following up to ensure they are). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must Strong proof-reading, writing and editing skills Demonstrated strength in oral and written communication Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports with strict accuracy and format requirements Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities Ability to respond to changing priorities Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment
Desired Qualifications: Three year's experience at a academic institution. Experience with Peoplesoft and Cognos. Experience with Microsoft Excel.
