Position Summary: The School of Psychological Science invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month, fixed-term instructor position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director.

This position will teach four Ecampus courses in Psychological Science each term during the academic year.

The primary mission of the OSU School of Psychological Science is education, undergraduate and graduate, and research. The school offers BA and BS degrees. The School participates in the MAIS program as a minor field, and offers an undergraduate minor. Instructor position assignments primarily related to teaching without significant expectation of scholarly accomplishment.

Position Duties: 95% Teaching - Teach four online psychology courses each term during the academic year.

5% Service - Responsibilities include service on Department, College and University committees. Service to the broader professional community is also an important part of the position.

Minimum/Required Qualifications: M.S. or M.A. in Psychology or related field.

Evidence of excellence in teaching or the potential for excellence in teaching a wide variety of Psychology courses, which could include Psychometrics, Research Methods, Physiological Psychology, Industrial Psychology, and Perception.

Proficient in web-based software systems and experience teaching ecampus course work.

Teaching experience at the college/university level.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications: Ph.D. Psychological science or related field.

Experience evaluating programs/courses for development.

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
