Position Summary: The School of Psychological Science invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure track full/part time Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2014-2015 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Director.

Instructors may be needed to teach on campus and Ecampus undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Opportunities may develop for summer teaching.

The primary mission of the OSU School of Psychological Science is education, undergraduate and graduate, and research. The school offers BA and BS degrees. The School participates in the MAIS program as a minor field, and offers an undergraduate minor. Instructor position assignments primarily related to teaching without significant expectation of scholarly accomplishment.

Position Duties: 100% Instruction
Will administer and teach undergraduate courses in general psychology (PSY 201, 202, and advanced course(s)) in the instructor's specialty area.

Instructors are responsible for holding regular office hours to assist students with coursework and answer questions regarding curriculum.

Minimum/Required Qualifications: M.S. or M.A. in Psychology.

Evidence of excellence in teaching or the potential for excellence in teaching a wide variety of Psychology courses, including large lecture classes, writing intensive classes, Clinical Psychology, Research Methods, Human Life Span Development, Personality, and Introductory Psychology.

Teaching experience at the college/university level.

Evident commitment to educational equity.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications: PhD in Psychology.

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Recommended Full-Time Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
