The College of Business (COB) invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month, fixed-term Instructor position in Business/Accounting Information Systems. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean. It is anticipated that this position will start Fall term 2014.

OSU's College of Business is AACSB International accredited and its Accounting Information Systems (AIS) program is endorsed by ISACA because of its alignment with ISACA's Model Curriculum for IS Audit and Control.

The College of Business has 2800 undergraduate majors, 660 minors and 400 graduate students. The College joins with other colleges and departments in new initiatives to respond to the needs and concerns of OSU's increasingly multicultural student body, and to join the ranks of top tier colleges of business across North America in cutting edge research, teaching excellence, industry partnerships and community service.

Position Duties: 90% Teaching
Primary teaching duties are undergraduate Accounting/Information Systems and/or Business Information Systems (BIS) courses for accounting, BIS, finance, and other business majors or graduate students.

10% service
Service activities include advising students, providing service on committees and other assignments, and providing service appropriate for a land-grant university. This position interacts with both accounting and BIS communities.

Minimum/Required Qualifications: A master's degree in information systems, accounting, or a related discipline.

College level teaching experience with indicators of effectiveness.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications: A doctoral degree.

Professional certification.

Experience teaching undergraduate classes.

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Scholarly Outcomes for Position (academic faculty only): There is no expectation of scholarly activities.
