Position Summary: The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS), is recruiting for full/part-time Instructors to teach on a term by term basis for the 2013/2014 Academic Year. These appointments are fixed-term, non-tenure track, with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of the Dean.

The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences is internationally recognized as a leader in the study of the Earth as an integrated system. The college has approximately 104 faculty, 220 graduate students and 613 undergraduate students. Graduate programs include a Master's degree in Marine Resource Management, and master's and PhD degrees in Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences; Geology; and Geography. The undergraduate programs in Earth Sciences and Environmental Sciences, provide diverse educational and research opportunities. The college operates numerous state-of-the art laboratories and two oceanographic research vessels. The College has an annual budget of more than $50 million, with much of the research support coming from the National Science Foundation, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Aeronautics and Space Administration and other federal agencies.

Position Duties: 100% Instruction:
Instructors may be needed to teach CEOAS courses, either on-campus or on-line, during the 2013/2014 Academic Year.

Minimum/Required Qualifications: Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS) and/or doctorate (PhD) in Atmospheric Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Geology, Geography, Oceanography or allied fields as relevant for the course.

Evidence of teaching excellence.

Evident commitment to educational equity.

Teaching experience at the college or university level.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications: A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Recommended Full-Time Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
