Qualifications
A Master''s degree in a counseling related field with four years of professional experience; or a Doctoral degree in a counseling related field with two years of professional experience. Counseling, training, and supervisory experience. Advanced skills in counseling, training, and supervision, program development and management; knowledge of career assessment techniques and computer-based planning interventions; knowledge of career information resources.

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.

Preferred
A Master''s degree in a counseling related field with five years of professional experience or Doctoral degree in a counseling related field with three years of professional experience. Knowledge, training and practice in the Cognitive Information Processing (CIP) approach to career development. Licensed as a Psychologist or certified counseling professional.

Responsibilities
The position of Program Director Career Advising, Counseling, & Programming is important to the entire scope and function of FSU career services. The Program Director manages career advising and counseling services, the career library/career information resources, supporting career guidance assessment, and career education outreach programming.

Provides direction and guidance to 5 staff members in order to support the daily operation of advising and counseling services. Assists with staffing activities, including but not limited to, hiring and training, and performs performance evaluations as necessary.

Selection, training, and supervision of approximately 20 graduate assistant Career Advisors hired each year in order to support the daily operation of the career advising and counseling services.

Develop and implement policies and procedures in support of career advising and counseling services.

Provide direct career advising and counseling services. Oversee the coordination and conduct career education outreach programs.

Teach sections of SDS 3340, Introduction to Career Development.

Serve as the Pre-Law adviser and Social Work

Pay Plan
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
