Position Summary: Communications Assistant The Lewis Center for the Arts is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a variety of communications skills to work on a variety of projects over the summer with a highly active team to promote the work of the Center. Reporting to the Director of Communications at the Lewis Center, the successful candidate will support an important initiative to publicize the programs and events of the Center and assist with the written communications to raise the visibility of the arts at Princeton. Responsibilities include drafting information related to the Lewis Center's fellowship programs for artists and content for the Center's website which will be in redesign this summer, as well as other written materials. This is a general overview of tasks and responsibilities and may change as the needs of the office change. The position is temporary. Essential Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree required in a field related to the skills required. * Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite *Ability to research and draft basic written promotional materials such as website content, press releases, newsletter content, and event listings *Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation and communication skills *Flexibility in being able to handle multiple assignments and adjust based on office priorities *Effective time management *Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment partnering with faculty, staff and students

Preferred Qualifications: *Experience in arts and/or higher education *Interest in the arts (creative writing, dance, theater, and/or visual arts)
