Job Description Summary:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 1-3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.


Desired Qualifications:

- Previous sales experience, particularly selling services to large non-profit organizations.
- Strong ability to build relationships with organizations and institutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.


Special Instructions to Applicants:

Job Duties
  • Serves as the University’s primary contact for organizations and institutions desiring individual or group accommodations during the summer.

  • Recruits appropriate organizations and institutions to utilize facilities.

  • Manages a summer housing program for outside groups and individual interns; makes requested arrangements, resolves problems, prepares bills, collects payments, maintains financial records, and arranges for various social functions.

    Maintains and reviews all summer occupancy and accounting records.

  • Collaborates in developing summer planning with University departments. Coordinates with all affected University offices regarding the scheduling of summer renovations and facilities work to avoid conflicts with summer programs.

  • Works to ensure that University budget goals related to summer housing revenue are achieved.

    Prepares annual reports and evaluations of the Summer Housing Program.

  • Performs market studies for the development of brochures and marketing material to promote the use of University residential facilities during the summer.

  • Coordinates with the Associate Director, Housing, for the selection, training, and evaluation of staff; reviews performance for effectiveness and conformity with established policies and procedures; recommends personnel actions, as appropriate.

  • Conducts annual market surveys regarding rates charged by area and market basket institutions- rates surveyed include room, board, local apartments, summer accommodations, and other topics as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor for assigning responsibilities that are logically related to the position.
