POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Asst Professor of Interpreting American Sign Language (ASL).  The American Sign Language Program of Clemson University seeks to fill a tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor beginning August 15, 2014.  The successful candidate is expected to support a strong undergraduate program through research, teaching, as well as participation in and promotion of various extra-curricular activities.  Teaching responsibilities include interpreting, interpreting pedagogy, linguistics, and occasional upper level language courses.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates with a doctoral degree are preferred; however, candidates with a master's degree and significant interpreting and teaching experience in a university setting are also encouraged to apply.  Candidates must be nationally certified by RID and EIPA and have significant experience measuring students' interpreting skills.
PAY & WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
