Position Summary: The School of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites nominations and applications for a permanent part-time (.50 FTE) nine month (9) fixed term appointment in the non-tenure track at the rank of Clinical Instructor. We are seeking applicants with a breadth of social work practice and expertise as well as the ability to teach. The primary function of the position is to serve as Field Faculty for the Winston-Salem 3 Year Distance Education MSW Program. The field faculty will conduct field advising and place students in field settings, teach field seminar, and work in conjunction with the Winston-Salem Coordinator of Field Education to develop field placement sites as well as recruit and train field instructors. The field faculty will also teach at least one master level course and assist the Director with student recruitment and admissions. Position is located in Winston-Salem and travel to surrounding counties in North Carolina is required. (Note: If selected for an interview, the interview will be held in Winston-Salem.)

Education Requirements: Candidates must have a MSW degree from an accredited CSWE Social Work Program.

Qualification and Experience: Candidates with a minimum of five years social work practice with at least two years post-master's social work practice experience is preferred. The applicant is expected to have familiarity with local human service agencies. Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience. Proposed start date is August 1, 2014.
