ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, MUSICAL THEATRE


A minimum of a Masters degree in the field plus substantial professional experience is required. We are a vibrant, growing undergraduate department offering BA’s in Dance and Theatre and a BFA in Performing Arts with concentrations in Music Theatre, Acting/Directing, and Theatre Design and Technology, and a minor in Musical Theatre.
The successful candidate will be able to teach and accompany private voice lessons for music theatre and have a broad knowledge of musical theatre styles and repertoire. They will also support our theatre program by serving as Music Director and/or Director of Department Productions, as well as possibly offering courses in musical theatre performance, musicianship, audition prep, acting, or other topics per the candidate’s experience and expertise. There is also an expectation of scholarly and/or creative work, committee service, advising, recruiting, and other administrative responsibilities.
