Administrative Coordinator I - Assement Coordinator
Job Description The Assessment Coordinator is a full time member of University Housing who is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of research and assessment initiatives in support of University Housing. The Assessment Coordinator is responsible to the Director of Assessment in discharging these responsibilities. Coordinates the studies of student opinion, satisfaction, environment, resources, and cost effectiveness. Coordinates quantitative, and mixed-methods studies. Works closely with Information Technology and Residence Life departments to implement and monitor technology components of University Housing technology systems including card swipe machines, online tracking and access database tracking. Collects data in accordance with appropriate methodology and utilizes the data to identify and analyze data across trends. Conducts assessments ethically, taking into consideration the protection of human subjects as mandated by the Institutional Review Board. Develops, implements, and analyzes research and assessment programs that measure departmental success in achieving its mission and aid in departmental strategic planning. Write reports to disseminate assessment results to inform policy and practice. Develops and implements a systematic approach for informing and educating all areas of Housing on the steps of assessment and the appropriate assessment techniques and skills. Provides consultation services to others about assessment. Prepares and delivers presentations and publication to inform departmental and other parties on recognition and results of assessment projects. Provides day to day supervision of practicum, interns and student workers to ensure appropriate workplace behaviors and assessment skills are learned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience in business management, administrative services or related field; or equivalency. Preferred Qualifications One year professional experience in assessment or related field.
