Columbus State University has an opening for a Part-Time Human Resources Assistant in the Human Resources Office. This position will provide administrative, clerical, and project support. Responsibilities for this position will include administrative support for projects and events; creating and maintaining a variety of databases, reports, and communication materials; performing recordkeeping and filing; providing back-up support for front desk operations such as answering phones and assisting visitors; and other related duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications include three to four years of related work experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); knowledge of the principles of office procedures, systems, and equipment to include managing reports; the ability to exercise considerable initiative and discretion in performing administrative work; the ability to work independently and confidentially; and the ability to effectively and discreetly convey information to internal and external customers. The successful candidate must have a strong customer service focus; excellent customer service and communication skills both in person and on the telephone; strong oral and written communication skills; possess excellent organizational and computer skills; possess the ability to pay close attention to detail; flexibility; and the ability to multi-task successfully. The selected candidate must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The salary is commensurate with education and experience. This position will work 26-29 hours per week.
