Student Services Specialist I

Department Overview
The Registrar's Office reports to the division of Academic Affairs and provides support services to faculty, staff, students and other constituents in the areas of academic programs and degree requirements, course scheduling, enrollment, degree verification, graduation, athletic eligibility, and the maintenance of student academic records, as well as handles state and federal reporting.

Job Description
The Office of the Registrar at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Student Services Specialist I to join their team. This position will be responsible for the various aspects of the maintenance for all program/plan data impacting the awarding of degrees, certificates, and financial aid. This position will serve as back up for the Student Services Specialist III in charge of graduation, assisting in the preparation of graduation application processing through review and modification of all degree awards as well as with posting all degrees to student records in a timely manner.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Program/Plan maintenance
* Posting of certificates
* Training staff in program/plan
* Assist in graduation, transcript evaluation, TES process

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree and one year of office administration experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
* Proficiency in MS Office
