New York Institute of Technology seeks a Director of Purchasing to supervise, coordinate, plan and direct the procurement and distribution of all materials, supplies, equipment and services required by all NYIT campuses. The selected candidate will implement and monitor policy and procedures for purchasing, and revise as appropriate; maintain a continuous flow of supplies and materials to the campuses; work with deans, faculty and staff to develop bid specifications for purchasing of products and services; bid and/or negotiate the best combination of price, quality and service for supplies, equipment and service contracts; supervise staff and provide staff development opportunities.
