A Bachelor*s degree and two years experience related to the duties of this position; or a high school diploma or equivalency and six years experience related to the duties of this position.
Experience working with dissimilar media tasks simultaneously.
Graphic and media publication experience.
Experience or the ability to train and direct the work of others.
Experience with applicable computer software and operating systems.
Experience or knowledge of current media technology and trends.
Experience or knowledge of marketing research techniques and tools.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Background Check Requirements
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check to include fingerprinting.
This position requires compliance with University confidentiality policies.
If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.
This position is responsible for designing for print and electronic media, which provides cutting edge designs especially relevant to the Florida State University community. This position is also required to hire, train direct and evaluate the work of student graphic designers and student photographers. The Media Specialist will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing successful marketing programs and promotional events.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
