  • Assistwiththeadvisementandregistrationofnewstudentsregardingtheiracademicplan, courseselection/sequencing,curriculum/concentrationselectionandchanges,andtransition issues.
  • Monitor and provide support to students who are on academic probation
  • Provideassistanceandsupportforspecialstudentprogrammingrelatedtostudentretention.
  • ParticipateintheimplementationoftheCollege''sLife mapinitiative,a comprehensivephilosophy of engagingstudentsinthecreationandcontinuedassessmentofanacademic,careerandlifeplan.
  • Master''sdegreeinEducation,Counseling,Psychologyora closelyrelatedfield;withthree{3) yearsexperienceand/or traininginvolvingcollegeadmissions,academicadvisement,career development, orprogram/project management; oranequivalent combination ofeducation, trainingandexperience
  • Experienceworkingwithstudentsinastudentservices/clientservicesorequivalentsetting
  • ProficiencyinstudentinformationsystemsaswellasMSWordandExcel
  • Excellent,demonstratedverbalandwrittencommunicationskills
  • Provenabilitytoworkwithadiversefaculty,staffandstudentpopulation
  • Experience working with the Veterans community and/or as a Veterans advisor preferred.

Pay rate: $25.50 per hour for 18 hours per week. No benefits.
