Duties: University of Pennsylvania Press, publisher of trade and scholarly books, seeks a Journals Assistant to provide comprehensive editorial, production, distribution, business, and administrative support for the Journals Division. Reports to the journals manager.

Qualifications: High-school graduate plus two years' related experience (additional education may substitute for some experience). College degree strongly preferred. Requires excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Computer aptitude and fluency with word-processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, and database software essential. Internship or other background in scholarly publishing desirable. Must be highly energetic, organized, able and willing to handle a large variety of tasks and details.
