The English Department of Northeastern University seeks to fill two benefits-eligible, full-time Lecturer positions, beginning in September 2014. Lecturers teach first-year and advanced writing courses, including courses in writing for the humanities, the social sciences, the sciences, the health professions, and the criminal justice professions.
Ph.D. or appropriate terminal degree in Rhetoric and Composition or related field required at the time of appointment. Experience or training in teaching ESL/ELL, online instruction, or working with new and digital media especially welcome.
Initial applications should consist of a letter of interest; a curriculum vita; and a brief (1 2 page) statement of teaching philosophy, including a description of training and experience in teaching writing.
