The position of assistant professor of Spanish carries teaching, scholarship and service responsibilities and requires a terminal degree. The successsful candidate is expected to teach four classes of 1000-2000 level per semester, hold regular office hours and participate actively in departmental, college and university service. Earned doctorate by August 1, 2014 in Spanish, Spanish Pedagogy/Second Language Acquisition, with native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, familiarity with and commitment to proficiency-oriented instruction, and willingness to work collegially with all campus constituencies.
