The Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina Asheville (UNC Asheville) invites nominations and applications for the position of Chancellor. The successful candidate will succeed Dr. Anne Ponder, who will retire at the end of July 2014 after nine years of distinguished contributions to the university and its community. UNC Asheville is one of 17 institutions comprising the University of North Carolina, and is the system’s only designated liberal arts campus. This unique mission emphasizes the centrality of learning and discovery through exemplary teaching, innovative scholarship, creative expression, co-curricular activities, undergraduate research, engaged service, and practical experience.
