ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE: $37,945 - $54,074, Band 06, SC State Classification System HOURS: Mon-Thur 8:00am - 6:00pm; Fri 8:00am - 1:00pm CAMPUS: Barton GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES In this challenging role, you will support the Upward Bound department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following: -Plan and direct the Upward Bound Project. Oversee the execution of all activities within the program and the grant. Employ, train, supervise, and evaluate subordinates. Monitor and manage applicable budget. Facilitate and assess the attainment of pre-determined objective. Ensure compliance with federal contractual agreements and with state and institutional policies. -Develop and implement program information as it relates to services, policies, and procedures for the successful operation of the Upward Bound Project. -Coordinate with high schools, community agencies and organizations to recruit and enroll project participants. Visit target high schools and consult with high school officials as needed. -Provide academic and motivational counseling to students. -Supervise the project staff's collection, analysis and interpretation of data about project participants. Validate and controls all requests for reports as it pertains to project participants personal information. -Must be able to handle multiple, demanding administrative tasks while also maintaining high quality customer service. -Occasional late evening/weekend/overnight work will be required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree + 1 yr experience in student services programs. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Two years experience in student services programs; -Experience in each of the following: supervisory, budgeting, preparation/management in federal programs with one year experience in the following: grant writing, data collection and analysis, report writing, and public speaking. -Four years knowledge of regulations governing TRiO programs.
