POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Tenure track Assistant Professor of Religion position in the Department of Philosophy & Religion.  Must be able to teach Studying Religion:  Theories and Methods, a required course for majors, on a rotating basis with other department faculty.  Will also teach existing courses on the History of Religion in the United States.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Ph.D by December 2014.  Specialist in African American Religions with an active research agenda who is also prepared to teach existing courses on the History of Religion in the United States.  Excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarship is essential.
PAY & WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 37.5;  Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
