Coordinator of Technology Training

Full-time, 12 months per year, on the Jamestown Campus of Jamestown Community College, responsible for implementing and coordinating technology training, including: teaching and curriculum development for computer courses and application of technology for credit free programs as well as coordinating, selling, and marketing community and corporate technology based training programs. Also includes maintenance of the Center for Continuing Education (CE) website and supporting the development and maintenance of the CE Data Management systems. -Embodies an entrepreneurial approach to research, develop, implement, manage, and assess new curriculum (classroom and online), and course schedule for credit free computer application area. -Conduct outreach with business and industry to design, develop, and facilitate contract courses in areas regarding technology. -Design, market, and teach technology related courses for open enrollment credit free programs, and customized courses for industry, government, internal JCC training, business and community agencies. -Recruit adjunct faculty, provide them with materials, training, and observe and give them feedback. Create schedule for adjunct faculty in the credit-free and contract classes. -Make recommendations for CE’s future hardware, software and equipment needs. -Assist all CE sites with the coordination of technology related course offerings. -Manage CE lab facilities: Develop CE lab schedule, secure supplies for the computer lab, order computer textbooks, and provide support to computer lab users. -Research, develop, and assist department staff with implementation of CE Data --Management systems. -Works with department staff to develop and maintain a coordinated CE web presence. -Regular attendance. Other Duties: -Support and train CE staff on e-marketing efforts using social media, CRM or other related software. -Technology Support: assist IT department, when applicable, to install and test specialized software for customers, assist with equipment set-ups and training as appropriate to assist facilities and rentals, act as liaison with college-wide technology team to resolve on-site hardware and software problems. -Design, coordinate, and provide training to CE staff in methods involving current technology to streamline processes and share information. Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: Required: -Bachelor’s degree. -Working knowledge of Web development/maintenance, internet, social media, CRM, database design, Microsoft Office Suite and other applications/software applicable to internal and external training needs. -Curriculum development and some instructional experience. -Willingness and ability to constantly learn new things relating to technology and remain technologically current. -Must possess: excellent written, oral, and interpersonal/human relations, ability to market and sell training, commitment to providing excellent customer service, problem solving, and organizational skills. -Must be able to: write and deliver persuasive proposals/presentations; and plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects in a team setting. Attention to detail and accuracy. -Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent, other software currently in use by the public. Preferred: -Bachelor’s degree in computer science, instructional technology or related field. -Experience with Data Management system and broad software knowledge. Hardware/software troubleshooting skills. -Experience with computer applications in a business environment. -Experience in network operating systems (UNIX-based preferred). -Some familiarity with network operating systems. Additional Information: Salary: $35,304 - $39,720, commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefit package.
