Position Summary: This is a full-time (40 hours per week, 45 weeks per year) faculty position. This position is responsible for the instruction of curriculum within Emergency Services, Paramedic and the Fire Protection programs, but also may include First Responder, EMT-Basic, EMT-IV (and other levels as certified). Classes are offered throughout the district and travel may be required. NTC is located in Wausau, Wisconsin, and has regional campuses located in Antigo, Medford, Merrill, Phillips, Spencer and Wittenberg. A portion of your assignment could be at any one of these regions. Required Qualifications: Must be innovative, optimistic, flexible and a self-starter. Have a demonstrated ability for self-motivation, organizational skill and professional development. 1. Experience working in urban, rural and/or volunteer fire or EMS departments 2. Prior work serving full-time, or maintaining part-time or volunteer fire or EMS department status as well as Paramedic certified with Critical Care endorsement. 3. Applicants must be able to provide verification of current status as a nationally registered Paramedic and as a CPR Instructor for the American Heart Association. 4. Must be able to obtain EMS Instructor II Certification. 5. Must possess Fire Fighter 1 & Fire Fighter 2 certification. 6. Individual must possess a current Wisconsin driver’s license and be able to pass the NTC insurance carrier’s requirements. 7. Organizational skills, adaptability and ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds. Some travel may be required. 8. Applicants must be certifiable with the Wisconsin Technical College System. To obtain certification, applicants must have two years (4,000 hours) of verified work experience as a qualified worker in the occupational area in which certification is requested. 9. Associate’s degree (or 60 college credits), along with commitment to obtain a Bachelor’s degree is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to attain: Fire Instructor, Driver-Operator, Hazardous Materials, Inspector, Confined Spaces.
