Job Description
The department of University Relations Communications and Marketing is seeking to hire a Digital Image Specialist to join our team.

The primary role of this position is to shoot photography stills and create short, entertaining and informative videos. Creativity, timeliness, technical proficiency and team collaboration are highly valued.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree in related field and three years work experience in print, video, and/or electronic media production, or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:
* Strong knowledge of the principles, equipment, software, and practices of the field of media design and production
* Manual dexterity and physical ability to operate various items of media equipment
* Ability to conceptualize and develop original ideas for media production


Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate for this position will have:
*Extensive technical and creative knowledge in capturing, lighting and editing still photography and multimedia projects as well as video shooting, production and editing.
*Strong working knowledge of video production , pro-level video and photography equipment and cameras (lights, slider, steadicam, Canon DSL etc.), proficiency in Photoshop and either Premier or Final Cut and After Effects, as well as a solid working knowledge of capturing and editing audio.
*Able to archive and manage a video resource library with accuracy.
*Must be flexible, a self starter, comfortable with team collaboration and constructive criticism, have good people skills and be willing and qualified to take on a diverse range of videography and photography projects with tight deadlines.
