Posting Description: Examples of Work Performed: 1. Identifies and recruits prospective subjects for sample collection to the cutaneous oncology tissue bank 2. Tracks patients undergoing surgery to obtain tissue samples and coordinates collection with research labs and the Tissue Bank to facilitate research activities 3. Obtains medical history and current medications, reviews protocol inclusion/exclusion criteria, and confirms eligibility of subject; draws blood as necessary 4. Ensures that the informed consent process has occurred and is properly documented and filed as required 5. Performs detailed review of medical history and enters data on all Tissue Bank patients; initiates patient phone contact and obtains outside medical records when necessary 6. Relays timely information to Regulatory Affairs Coordinator in regard to protocols to ensure quality study flow and ensure that all governing regulations are being adhered to.

Minimum Qualifications: Education: BS or BA in any field Experience: Two years clinical research experience (oncology preferred) -OR- Any equivalent combination of Education or Experience

Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Good command of the English language, both written and verbal. 2. Proficient in Windows, MS Word, Excel, Microsoft and Viper 3. Possess knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, FDA Rules and Regulations, NIH guidelines, ICH guidelines and HIPAA regulations in relation to clinical trials. 4. This position may require the coordinator to work outside of normal clinic hours

Desired Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: * Two years phlebotomy experience * Oncology experience (research or clinical) * Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, medical terminology
