1382 - Laboratory Tech I
Posting Description: Specific responsibilities may include: * Assisting in the management of the Simulation Clinic and Technique Lab by assisting the undergraduate and international students in all areas of the lab. * Overseeing the students that are using the lab equipment, instruments and materials properly, and be a resource when students have questions regarding dental lab procedures. * Prioritizing and organizing the flow of the Simulation Lab to meet the needs of the students. * Drafting procedures manuals for use by the students when using the Simulation Clinic and Technique Lab. * Monitoring students who are lab monitors working in the Simulation clinic and Technique Lab. * Ordering and maintaining supplies on a day-to-day basis needed for operation of the laboratory. * Monitoring the receipt and unpacking of shipments, correctness of orders, maintaining of inventory and shelf life of all instruments. * Interacting with outside vendors regarding purchase and refurbishment of items in the program.

Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Two (2) years of dental laboratory experience.
SUBSTITUTIONS: Education which provided the same kind, amount and level of knowledge acquired in the required experience may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Colorado law requires that candidates for state government jobs be residents of Colorado at the time of application.

Desired Qualifications: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Certified Dental Technician. * Experience cleaning and maintaining laboratories and lab equipment. * Experience utilizing electronic software, such as MS Word and Excel, to draft, edit, and update procedure manuals. * Experience purchasing, tracking and maintaining lab supplies and equipment * Experience providing assistance to lab staff, faculty and students within a higher education and/or medical education environment
