Job Description: This position is located within the JOINT ONCOLOGY PROGRAM (JOP) as an Assistant Director for Clinical Trials Oversight, between the UF Health Cancer Center (Gainesville), the UF Health Cancer Center - Orlando Health, and the UF Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville. This position will lead the clinical trials needs of the JOP Research Core and manage various responsibilities related to the joint clinical trials operations between the partnering institutions. Incumbent will be responsible for the programmatic, strategic and operational management of Clinical Trials for the JOP, quality assurance, monitoring oversight, conducting internal/external inspections/audits of IRB documentation and consent forms. Develops and implements SOP's. Identifies staff development needs, conducts education and training. Enhances awareness of UFHCC-JOP among investigators, industry and federal sponsors. Incorporates Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) in daily operations, and many other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Required to work independently, interact professionally, interpret complex policies and procedures and possess effective technical writing and organizational skills. Management/ supervisory experience. Three years experience in oncology clinical trials or research administration and management. Available for ocassional overnight travel to meetings, conferences or off site locations as required.
