Job Description: This position will be part of the Virtual Application & Desktop team at the University of Florida, and will support the UFApps virtual application service currently in production, as well as participating in the design and deployment of additional virtual application and desktop services and systems based primarily on Citrix and Microsoft technologies. The Virtual Application & Desktop team is currently being expanded in support of the University of Florida's strategic direction of developing virtual application and desktop technology for improved student and workforce access and mobility, improved and more efficient IT support, and better IT security and compliance. Specific job responsibilities will include the management of Windows servers, network infrastructure, and Citrix technologies required for desktop and application virtualization services. Position will require advanced knowledge and experience with these technologies as well as a broad understanding of current trends in desktop and application delivery technologies. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to interact with end-users as well as IT staff across campus to resolve issues and develop new solutions to campus needs. Must be able to adapt to change. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Demonstrated problem solving skills, organizational skills, and customer service orientation is required. Will be part of an approximately one-week per month on-call rotation, and carry a smartphone with phone, text, and email service during work and on-call time.

Minimum Requirements: An associate's degree and four years of appropriate experience or a high school diploma and six years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Advanced technical knowledge of Citrix or other virtualization technologies and networking is preferred. Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, and Desktop and application delivery technologies experience. Excellent written and oral communication.
