Position Summary: This is a professional position based in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health's North Carolina Institute for Public Health. The individual in this position is responsible for a broad range of duties related to planning, implementing, and coordinating training projects. The individual in this position is required to interact with public health professionals from the local, state and national human services sectors, with a particular emphasis on collaborations with local and state governmental public health agencies. A primary focus for this position is the development and delivery of a variety of public health training programs delivered in face-to-face classroom settings as well as distance learning formats.

Education Requirements: Masters degree in public health or related discipline

Qualification and Experience: Minimum qualifications for this position include experience in developing and managing continuing education and training programs for working public health professionals. Strongly prefer expertise training in public health core area such as nursing, health education or public health preparedness. Experience conducting both distance-based and face-to-face learning programs preferred. A successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven ability to function independently, have strong computer skills and be able to successfully manage relationships with funders and training participants and work as part of a team. Prefer at least 5 years' experience in a professional capacity for a state, local, or international public health agency or academic institution. Knowledge of North Carolina public health system preferred.
