GENERAL DUTIES

Provides operational support for College registration operations.

- Advises students of academic and administrative requirements; assists with registration

- Interprets and communicates academic policies and procedures; provides information to prospective and enrolled students in registration and records-related areas

- Compiles, generates and updates reports and surveys containing enrollment data

- Maintains compliance with established record release procedures, including the Family Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

- Collaborates with other College and University offices to assist with resolutions of student registration and record problems

- May participate in activities related to course scheduling and maintaining the Master Course File

- May monitor and revise the content of the Registrar's Office web pages and other communication materials

- Performs related duties as assigned.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, the Enrollment Registrar Coordinator (Coordinator of Degree Audit) assists with degree audit activities, ensuring that graduating students meet all degree requirements. The Coordinator will also maintain accurate and up-to-date information in specialized databases and generate appropriate student lists as required.

The Enrollment Registrar Coordinator (Coordinator of Degree Audit) will:
- Evaluate student records to determine if graduation requirements have been met. Communicate with students regarding their graduation status.
- Ensure proper printing of diplomas and certificates. Export graduates' degree information from CUNYfirst to the Diplomas on Demand web-based system.
- Assist in answering student email inquiries regarding the Degree Progress automated degree-advisement system.
- Act as liaison between the Registrar's Office and Deans' Offices, Admissions, Graduate Deputies of academic departments with graduate programs, and department chairpersons.
- Generate queries in CUNYfirst for the purposes of providing Faculty Council lists, candidate lists, and commencement lists.
- Act as liaison to various committees dealing with graduation, including the Committee on Graduate Admissions and Standards and the Commencement Planning Committee.
- Assist with the management of approximately 2,500 undergraduate and 1,500 graduate records annually for graduating classes in three terms of the academic year.
- Implement Faculty Council, Committee on Graduate Admissions and Standards, Course and Standing, Center for Academic Advisement and Student Success, and Deans' decisions for staff and students.
- Act as liaison between the Registrar's Office and Faculty Council Committee on Student Records. Identify inconsistencies and assure validity of records.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

- Two years of higher education/Registrar's Office experience preferred
- Familiarity with CUNYfirst/PeopleSoft/Oracle and Diplomas on Demand systems preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

COMPENSATION

$55,126 - $62,661; commensurate with experience and qualifications.
