Job Description The Clinical Instructor/Internship Coordinator directs internship and job placement activities within the Department of Retailing. Responsibilities include: * Coordinate the internship program and supervise interns in the Department of Retailing in the fall, spring, and summer semesters. * Solicit businesses that would hire interns, as well as cultivate and maintain relationships with those businesses to assist students with permanent job placement. * Advise and assist students in finding internships within their field of study, monitor progress of students during internships and provide additional instruction and support when needed. * Teach internship course plus one retailing course per semester. * Evaluate interns at the end of the internship on their performance and give suggestions for improvement. * Work closely and cooperatively with College of HRSM Development Directors in supplying contact information for all internship partners. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Retailing or related field and at least five years' recent experience in the retailing industry at a major retailer. Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred.
