Faculty Position

Campus: Stony Brook West Campus/HSC

Required Qualifications: MD/PhD degree or equivalent. Eligibility for New York State license, completion at accredited Neurology residency. Board certified or board eligible in Neurology. Have areas of specialty interest that would mesh especiallywell with existing priorities that include cerebrovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, movement disorders, or epilepsy, but candidates with expertise in other areas will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications: Training and commitment to develop an independent clinical or basic research program.

Responsibilities & Requirements: The ideal candidate will have finished a residency plus a subspecialty or researchfellowship. The successful candidate will receive startup funding and dedicated research time to build a world-class research program.

Special Notes: This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated start date: As soon as possible. To qualify for an appointment as Associate Professor, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure ).

The selected candidate must successfully clear a background investigation.
