This position oversees the procurement and maintenance of all athletic equipment, and ensures that the equipment needs of student athletes, the Head Football Coach, staff and administration are met. The Head Equipment Manager for Football also performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and at least three years of experience in professional or collegiate level athletic equipment room oversight and administration. Demonstrated experience building relationships with athletic equipment manufacturers and vendors to ensure high quality products. Experience overseeing athletic gear contracts, services, and competitive pricing. AEMA certification. Active membership in AEMA. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills and Abilities: *Ability to maintain a professional, organized, clean, safe, and healthy environment in equipment rooms, laundry rooms, and locker rooms. *Demonstrated ability to coordinate all aspects of football equipment operations including procurement, distribution, collection, maintenance, transportation and inventory. *Ability to assist Director of Football Operations with recruiting visits. *Ability to interpret and advise coaches and staff on policies and procedures that pertain to football equipment operations. *Ability to serve as liaison with visiting teams, officials, and conference personnel on game-day. *Ability to supervise Graduate Externs and Student Workers. *Highly effective communication and organizational skills. *Ability to manage workload independently and to manage multiple tasks to completion and on time. *Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
