NORTHWESTERN COLLEGE (Iowa) invites applications for a tenure-track position in a growing communications program beginning August 2014. We seek a communications generalist with expertise in journalism and/or public relations and the ability to teach courses in media law, journalism, advertising, converged media platforms, social and emerging media, mass media and society, as well as new courses. The successful candidate will also be responsible for advising the student newspaper and journalism practicum, internship supervision, and advising and recruiting students. Preferred qualifications include a PhD or MA in communication or a related field, professional experience, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and college service.
