Summary Description Promotes a positive student experience within a large residence hall or small residence community; serves on the professional staff team for the department, and implements the goals and objectives of the department on a daily basis. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and experience working with college students, and an understanding of college student development. Leading candidates will be adept at developing and sustaining relationships, possess an understanding of and commitment to supporting diversity, be able to utilize quality critical thinking skills, w and have an appreciation of the value of the study of liberal arts in a residential setting. Other important characteristics include personal integrity and an understanding of one's self, excellent oral and written communication skills, critical thinking and creative problem solving skills, strong administrative skills and basic computer skills,, a positive attitude, and the capacity to function well autonomously., Employment will be contingent upon the satisfactory results of a background check of candidate and his/her live in spouse or partner (if applicable). Preferred Qualifications: At least one year of full-time work experience in a college or university setting. Master's degree in Student Affairs or a related field, prior residential life experience and working in a liberal arts college environment.
