POSITION DESCRIPTION:

JOB PURPOSE:

Manage and coordinate the off-campus graduate-level programs offered by the College of Business & Behavioral Science in Greenville, SC. In addition, provide general student services support to the College's graduate-level programs.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Manage and coordinate all off-campus student services for the College's graduate programs in Greenville. Assist in the design, development and implementation of student services. Recommend and implement improvements. Advise and counsel students on process, coordinate with other program coordinators when required. Manage admission decisions for MBA program in Greenville. Manage and coordinate the College's faculty and program services in Greenville.  E/60%

Work with faculty to resolve service-related problems, proctor exams, orient to off-campus facilities and class/office hour schedules. Coordinate program planning with departments and program directors. Assist with distance education courses. Work with personnel to resolve problems and manage/coordinate the use of technology and classrooms. E/35%

Attend fairs/venues to promote programs. Meet with area organizations/companies to provide detailed program information. Recommend changes to curriculum, policies and procedures to improve program administration and student services. Actively participate in development and long-range plans and objectives for program-related student services. Analyze data and create reports on incoming student quality.  E/5%
QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.

PREFERRED IN ADDITION TO THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Masters degree.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

Limited supervision.  The employee, when faced with complex problems which he/she will solve, must know where to find the information/help and see it when needed.  Duties performed in this position must be accomplished by the employee's personal knowledge and skills.  Must be capable of making informed and independent decisions.
PAY & WORK SCHEDULE:

Standard Hrs: 37.5;  Band: 06 ($ 37,945.00 - $ 55,000.00)

Located in an off-campus environment and may require some day/overnight travel to meet with organizations in support of Director of Graduate Program Relations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities; develop and operate within budget; establish effective working relationships with wide range of individuals; provide advising for wide range of student problems/concerns; represent Clemson University and the MBA program; experience with distance education programs/students; experience in student services programs; good communication skills. Ability to handle the responsibilities of day-to-day managing for off campus related programs and facilities.
