Major Duties: General Summary Strategically develops, plans, and establishes and oversees processes and administers contracts, capital improvements, renovations and facility enhancements for DOSA's facilities portfolio. - Researches best practices, initiates, negotiates, directs and monitors multiple vendor contracts with the General Counsel and Logistical Services. Writes contractual specification language, directs changes negotiates off contract prices and negotiates contract renewals. Participates, guides and supports DOSA through collaboration and operational interface for various other contracts. Directs the Residence Life and Dining Services Custodial Contract and budget. - Participates strategic leveraging and prioritization of resources including financial, human, systems and technology to address day to day, and 1 to 3 year maintenance, preventative maintenance and non-major projects with enrollment management strategies, programs and objectives. - Develops and administers capital improvements, renovations and building enhancements for the Residence Life Department. Works directly with Campus Planning and Physical Plant to create and administer facility upgrades and new additions. - Establishes and supervises the building operations, procedures and schedules for the entire maintenance and custodial operations for the Residence Halls and custodial operations for Dining Services including emergency procedures. Directs and monitors custodial contract staff as well as full-time Residence Life staff. Implements training and supervision. Ensures vendor compliance - Oversees and directs Summer Conferences, including planning, developing and implementing targeted Web and other marketing strategies. Develops and maintains clients. Oversees and supervise staff. - Directs the computerized maintenance and custodial service request system for the Residence Halls and custodial requests for the custodial vendor in Dining Services. Administers and directs all purchasing for custodial services and supply database inventory for Residence Halls and Dining Services. Serves as an integral member on the Student Affair's Leadership Team with Directors and Executive Leadership Team. - Directs and responds to high level constitute concerns and policy direction from students, parents, WMU officials and administrators. Responsible for emergency procedures and life safety policies in the living units for Residence Life.

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in related field - Three years of related experience - Training and/or experience in emergency operations -- Leadership and facility experience - Available for extensive weekend and evening responsibilities, including being on-call for emergencies
