Job ID: 10205 Regular/Temporary: Regular GENERAL DUTIES Develops, implements, and manages one or more major admissions and recruiting functions. - Manages overall recruitment and admissions processes - Develops recruiting strategies for the College and/or specific programs or groups and works closely with academic departments, programs, and administrators to coordinate marketing and recruiting - Manages the development and distribution of recruiting materials and communications of all kinds - Manages admissions operations and staff, including coordination with outside organizations and University administration - Oversees department budget including developing detailed proposals to support recruitment and admissions - Evaluates and reports outcomes; uses information in statistical, fiscal, and other reports to make improvements to the recruiting process - Performs related duties as assigned. CONTRACT TITLE Higher Education Officer FLSA Exempt CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION Reporting to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, the Admissions Director provides leadership, strategic enrollment planning, and oversight of undergraduate student admissions. Responsible for directing colleague and staff efforts and managing ongoing operations that affect student enrollment. Works collaboratively with directors and departments within the college and CUNY. Oversees the activities and operations of assigned functions; ensures that operations meet strategic goals and objectives of the college. Maintains awareness in best practices and current developments in enrollment management, student services, and related fields. Develops holistic vision for admissions and enrollment management; motivates colleagues and staff to achieve that vision through collaborative efforts. Develops, interprets, and applies college policies, procedures, rules, and regulations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree and eight years' related experience required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS - Master's Degree preferred - Demonstration of increasingly responsible, administrative experience in higher education - Experience in Undergraduate Admissions in a Public Institution as well as expertise in the applications of technology to these fields - Excellent, writing, editing, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills - Commitment to the values of the liberal arts education and appreciation for work in a diverse and fast paced work environment COMPENSATION Commensurate with experience.
