ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, Enrollment, Financial Assistance (1198/C1414*)
Work as part of a team and provide support to the operations and systems area of the Financial Assistance undergraduate office. Manage Boston University's participation in the Federal Quality Assurance (QA) program, lead the University's verification and quality improvement efforts, and assist with managing the automated packaging system. Provide support for systems testing to ensure integrity and compliance with federal regulations and University policies, including training and updating staff. Review exception reports, perform data analysis and assist with problem resolution. Assist with counseling prospective students and parents about the application process and applying for alternative loans at certain times of year.Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree, two to five years of experience in a service and detail oriented profession, strong analytical and organizational skills, effective problem solving skills, strong communication skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment, ability to motivate and supervise a team. Preferences: prior knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies and procedures, including familiarity with federal verification requirements, Microsoft Excel proficiency and PowerFAIDS student packaging software.
