LOAN REPAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR - Student Financial Services
The Loan Repayment Assistance Program Administrator works with the staff of Student Financial Services to process applicant information, establish and maintain a database of all relevant applicant data, heed and conform practices to all federal, state, and university-wide regulations regarding applicant records, finances, and financial aid.
The LRAP Administrator will publicize and market the LRAP program in conjunction with Alumni Relations, Public Relations, and School Financial Aid Offices and provide customer support for all interested students and alumni through publications, web sites, and one-on-one communications. The position will serve as a liaison to each school, particularly to the financial aid offices, the student services offices, the School Deans, relevant school committees university-wide, and to the Tisch College. The LRAP Administrator will handle all operational activities involving applications, analyzing data, communications, promissory notes, and issuance of checks through Accounts Payable to those awarded as well as the reconciling of all funds spent. This position provides one-on-one debt management counseling to current and former Tufts students throughout the year.
Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of related experience required. Technical skills including Web design, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Professional written and verbal communications, analytical skills and customer service. Understanding of basic accounting and educational loan processes. Must successfully complete all appropriate background checks as required.
Prefer more than one (1) year of related experience and prior experience in a higher education environment. Familiarity with student information systems is preferred.
