Drawing Temporary Faculty Positions
The Department of Fine Arts at Kutztown University invites applications for two temporary, one-year, full-time sabbatical replacement positions in drawing for the 2014-2015 academic year. The successful candidates will teach 3 classes each semester as needed, including courses such as Drawing for Non-Majors, Drawing I, Drawing II, Introduction to Life Drawing, and advanced drawing classes. One sabbatical replacement will primarily teach life drawing and upper level drawing courses and one will primarily teach foundation drawing. Additional responsibilities include five office hours per week. MFA in Studio Art required. One year of full-time college-level teaching experience beyond graduate school and a strong exhibition record preferred. The candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate knowledge of traditional and contemporary drawing techniques, theory, and criticism. A successful interview and demonstration of teaching ability are requisite qualifications. Application must include a letter of interest addressing qualifications, a CV, a current contact information for three references with reference letters available upon request, CD, DVD, or flash drive containing 20 images of current work and 20 images of student work (formatted for both Mac and PC), a list identifying the images, and copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
