Job Description Summary:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 0-1 year of relevant professional experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to perform accurate detail oriented work and communicate effectively with a diverse population preferred.
Maintaining confidentially and demonstrating a commitment to integrity are essential.
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload along with possession of the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to monitor a number of NCAA and University activities (e.g., admissions, financial aid, etc.) desired.
Knowledge and work with CAi, LSDBi and Banner are desired.
Experience with fiscal management and daily operations of an intercollegiate athletics department preferred.
Strong organizational, management and communications skills with attention to detail are desired.
Ability to work with minimal direction, be a good problem solver, and ability to meet deadlines.
Special Instructions to Applicants:
Maintains official and unofficial visit records, admissions and financial aid paperwork and databases, camps and clinics paperwork, compliance related business paperwork (e.g., purchase orders), annual updates to the staff and student-athlete manuals, and University and NCAA forms for staff and student-athletes.
Maintains NCAA Compliance Assistance Software program.
Provides business support in all fiscal matters pertaining to processing of daily Athletic Business Office transactions, budgetary control, and accounting policies and procedures.
Assists with purchasing activities, travel, auditing expenses and assisting with internal and external financial reporting requirements.
Assists the Athletics Compliance Office with book distribution for scholarships.
Assists with athletic scholarship renewals and initial awards paperwork and transfer releases.
Produces the Colonials Compliance Newsletter.
Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
