The Department of Business has 15 full time faculty members, with extensive experience in the private sector as well as academic credentials. There are close to one thousand students enrolled in the Department of Business, which offers three programs - Accounting, Fashion Marketing, and Marketing Management and Sales -  each of which leads to an associate degree in business. A baccalaureate degree is in development.

Teach undergraduate level courses in accounting; engage in research leading to refereed publications; advise students; provide service to the college, university, and community; and participate in any other tasks traditionally associated with a full-time, tenure track academic appointment. The department is in the process of revising its curriculum, and the candidate will be expected to participate in developing a new program.

Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.


CPA required. Ph.D. desirable in accounting or a closely related field such as finance at the time of application; candidates with an earned MBA plus CPA and strong experience will be considered. Professional accounting experience; superior academic record; evidence of excellence in teaching; strong academic and professional references; effective communicative skills; proof of published or publishable scholarly work; and serious commitment to quality research.

Must have the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
